Konark Rai

Konark Rai is the Managing Director and a leading member of the Security And Scientific Technical Research Association (SASTRA), an Innovation Center under the umbrella of Rashtriya Raksha University, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. He drives focused innovation and functional strategies that empower entrepreneurs, startups and innovators to drive change and solve problems in the field of national security. Through his outreaching and networking capabilities with various security sector associations like CAPF’s, CPO’s and the Armed Forces, he aims to contribute with his integrated capabilities, breakthrough stratagems and solutions, and alternative business models. Konark also helps implement focused innovation on a few big bets intended to seed next-generation innovations and industrial competitiveness in ways that will enhance India’s economic and technological security.
Konark has previous expertise as a Political and Policy Analyst at the UN Office and also has an exposure of serving on the projects which involved drafting international policies, designing strategic development and initiating international associations during his time at the United Nations Office and International Labour Organisation, both stationed in Geneva, Switzerland. Konark has been instrumental in providing leading insights in creating an ecosystem that supports the role of drone technology in disaster risk assessment and policy preparedness in the field of internal security.
Konark holds a Diploma in International Environmental Law from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research in Geneva and a B.A, LL.B (Hons). from Gujarat National Law University. He is currently pursuing his LL.M. from Rashtriya Raksha University.
