Dania Montenegro

Dania Isabel Montenegro is an Engineer in Nautical Sciences with specialization in Navigation and maritime transport at Panama. She holds a Diploma in Maritime and Commercial Management of International Transportation in the Americas, City of Knowledge. She has more than twelve years of experience in the Maritime and Logistics Sector. She has worked as a Project Manager in the Panama’s Shipyard, Marine Engineers Corp. Prior to this, she was an independent and entrepreneurial broker for many years, generating agreements and transportation contracts between vessels in Latin America and companies selling bulk products, and managing the purchase and sale of boats. She has been an Operations Manager in the group of shipping companies: Silkton Corporation, Fleet In and SC Line, operating ships with different ports of destination throughout Latin America. She is also a Professor of Coastal Navigation, Astronomical Navigation, and Maritime Agency at the Maritime University of Panama. Dania is passionate for community service, humanitarian aid, awareness in environment especially oceans, interested in the development of knowledge transfer. She is now engaged as a Project Coordinator at Panama Flying Labs, an initiative of WeRobotics in alliance with the Inter American Development Bank, hosted at the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá.
